Natural mica exhibits superior and stable electrical characteristics as well as excellent high frequency performance. The element is made by a special lamination method which uses no metal foils; the electrodes are made by a unique method exclusive to the manufacture of ARCO UC Capacitors. Thus the superior electrical characteristics of natural mica preserved, providing a true high frequency capacitor.

Since the structure is such that the characteristics of natural mica are preserved, capacitance change vs. time is minimum while reliability remains high.

HIGH RELIABILITY AND CONSISTENCY...

The ARCO UC Capacitor utilizes the highest quality natural mica, and has electrodes made by a printing with a proprietary silver paste. The element, therefore, becomes a structure entirely from the conventional section which uses metal foils. The finished element maintains the excellent characteristics of natural mica. This design assures constant high reliability and reproducible accuracy.

SUPERIOR HIGH FREQUENCY CHARACTERISTICS..

Natural mica is well known to have electrical characteristics superior to those of any other dielectric. Because the ARCO UC Capacitor utilizes mica, the stability, the frequency, and the temperature characteristics are superior. The integrally formed plated-shaped terminals help make these capacitors ideal for high frequency applications and pulse circuits.

"The allowable minimum capacitance tolerance is +/- 0.25% or 0.25pF...Units are compact...and extremely stable against voltage."

In high volume production, these ARCO UC Capacitors have been proven to be reliable in various military systems as well as for filters in the CS 36 M underwater cable system. And the ARCO UC Series lends itself to surface mounting techniques (SMUT).

ARCO Electronics UC Capacitors are now available on tape and reel.
